Facts checked

An Instinct AI agent called your business

The short answer

Instinct is a personal AI agent. Since 16 September 2026 its "Concierge" feature places phone calls for users in early access: booking restaurants that take no online reservations, joining a cancellation list, fixing a bill. How it introduces itself has not been published.

How to recognise it

  • It calls for one person with a concrete task: a table, a slot on a cancellation list, a billing question.
  • Instinct has not published its opening line or the numbers it calls from.

Is it legit?

The feature is real but new and in early access. We do not know in which countries it calls, or whether a business can opt out.

How to stop it or set your terms

  • No business opt-out has been published (checked 28 October 2026).
  • Decline on the call if you do not take automated bookings.
  • Set your terms in the registry below.

What to say to the caller

  • "Who are you calling for, and how can we reach them?"
  • "Please put them on our list by email at [address]."

Red flags: probably a scam

  • It asks for card details for a "deposit" over the phone that you never asked for.
  • It asks for money, a card number, a password or a code sent to your phone.
  • It threatens that your listing will disappear or be marked closed unless you act now.
  • It cannot tell you who the customer is or how to reach them.
  • It pushes you to press a key, install something or open a link from a text message.

Set your terms once, for every AI caller

Agent Terms by snuepi is a free public registry: you say whether AI agents may contact you, on which channel, how often, and which booking rules apply. Agents that check the registry follow it, and you can print a door sign for staff.

The caller ID you saw, if any.

For example: what it asked for, whether it said it was an AI, whether it booked something.

What would you have wanted? (tick any)

Frequently asked questions

Is Instinct a scam?

No, it is a real product. But anyone can say "Instinct" on the phone, so the usual red flags still apply.

Can I say no?

Yes. You do not have to accept bookings from an automated caller.

Where does it call?

Not published. Please report your call below.
