Who just called you?
An AI just called your business? Here is how to tell who it was and what to do
AI assistants now phone small businesses for their users: to book a table, check a wait time or ask a price. Most are real. Some are scams that borrow a big name. Pick the caller below for how to recognise it, whether you can opt out, and what to say.
In a hurry? Three rules for every AI call
- A real booking agent never needs money, card numbers, passwords or codes from you. If it asks, hang up.
- Ask: "Who are you calling for, and how can we reach that person?" A real agent can answer.
- You may say no. "We do not take bookings from automated calls, please book online" is a complete answer.
